On Paros you can have as active a holidays as you wish. For those who like to take to the sea, the island is world renowned for it's watersports, hosting annual World Championship Events. Further inland, you can explore the culture of the island on foot, bicycle or horseback - and uncover a treasure trove of fantastic scenery, art and history. Whichever, the day should end at one of the seaside tavernas or garden restaurants offering fresh sea-food, traditional Greek cuisine and grilled meats.

    Paros possesses some of the finest natural scenery in the Cyclades Island cluster. It is full of footpaths leading to dazzling beaches, through the traditional mountain villages of Lefkes, Prodromos, Marpissa, Aliki and Agairia and up to secluded monasteries, chapels and windmills.

    Windsurfing & Kitesurfing

    The island of Paros Greece is world known for windsurfing and kitesurfing and is considered by many as one of the best spots in the Greek islands. Paros island, as most of the islands in the Cyclades, offers ideal weather conditions with the blessing of the Meltemi in the summer months (the local Cycladic wind). Each year, since 1993, the beach of New Golden Beach welcomes the World Cup.

    Paros Island has a great tradition of fishing, with one of the largest fishing fleets in the Aegean Sea region. The island is the ideal destination for amateur, as well as more serious fishing aficionados. The best fishing spots are on the southwestern and southeastern coast of Paros. Just ask the professional fishermen for tips.

    Get away from the crowds and dive into crystal clear waters. Enjoy an amazing scenery of drop-offs, caverns, canyons, boulders and swim throughs. Explore the island's reefs in waters with visibility of 30 to 40 meters, experience the rich colorful marine life and watch the sun rays diving into the endless blue! Rock formations give shelter to octopuses, moray eels, groupers and big shells.

    Paros offers international and local cuisine; you will find a numerous taverns by the beaches and in the mountain area of the island. Sea food in Naousa , Aliki and in the most taverns by the beach is an experience. Night life in Parikia and Naousa can satisfy all age visitors.
